So explain how Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Jacob, Job were very rich. Infact Job was the richest man in his area. God is pleased when we prosper. Money is power. If you are broke you are useless to a lot of people. Only ignorance makes u think you shouldn't desire financial prosperity. We are rather warned not to love money or make it an object of worship.

If "broke" people are "useless" - as you claim - then you are implying that Jesus - who tells us He became poor - would be also "useless". . You have not read God's Written Word - obviously. God doesn't bless us with riches for "our" purposes - He blesses us for HIS purpose - if He chooses to bless us financially. . He is clear in His many, many warnings to us - not to seek riches of this world- not to store up earthly treasures. - As well, He also warns us not to give to the rich. - He commands us to live humbly - and it would be difficult to live "humbly" if you own jets, homes, furs, jewelry, cars, etc. . God also warns us about the many false teachers who will be out in the world in the end days - teaching "things they ought not - for the sake of filthy lucre" (riches/profit) - - . i.e. Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer, Creflo Dollar, T.D. Jakes, Joseph Prince, Paula White, Benny Hinn, Steven Furtick, etc. The list of these "prosperity peddlers" is long -and grows longer every day across the globe. . I don't mean this as a personal attack towards you - but you make it obvious that you - like billions of other people on the planet - have never actually read God's Written Word - or you would not have allowed yourself to be duped by this false teacher. .

"money is power" - you say. . Can you show me in God's Written Word - anywhere in there - where He says He wants us to have power. . Spoiler: You won't find it in His Written Word. . And you also won't find anywhere in His Word where He says that He is "pleased when we prosper". In fact, He tells us that what pleases Him is our obedience to Him. . I looked up the scripture that you referenced, Newton Aiguobas. We are indeed children of the promise, but you must read it in context, with the other surrounding scriptures. What was Paul trying to say? Who was he addressing? Why? Below is the scriptures and the context of it. Gal 4:21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? 22For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. 23But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. 24Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. 25For this Agar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. 26But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.27For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.28Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. 29But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.30Nevertheless what saith the scripture? What does this section of scripture mean?  Paul was addressing those converted Jews who were desiring to or again living under the law of the old covenant.  So he refers to Abraham's 2 sons, which are also an 'allegory' of the 2 covenants.  We, as Christians, are not under the old covenant, nor should we be.  And what was the promise to come?  CHRIST and the new covenant! One is bondage, the other freedom. Galatians 3:29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise. Although the Jews were inclined to believe that just because they could claim Abraham as their actual ancestor and the lived under the law of the O.C., did not make them heirs to the promise, which is Christ and the New Covenant, and Heaven.

So @ midwestfarmgirl You mean you cant be rich because Jesus told the rich man to go sell his goods in order to enter the kingdom of God. Why did Jesus pay tax? Where did he get the money to pay tax?. People like you are never informed because you go to meeting with stones and judgement in your hearts. If truly you asked the Lord to give you understanding and what He said is what you wrote on your comment page. Then you misunderstood the information. If the blessing was for Abraham and his SEED and the seed is CHRIST as you said. Then whose are we? Of course we are Christ's. We are an offshoot of the Abrahamic covenant. We are joint heirs with Christ. We are partakers of the kingdom blessing. SO we are meant to be all that God has ordained us to be, wealth and prosperity being part of the package. You can only become what you want to become, and what you ask to become. Same way as Jesus said, 'Ask anything of me and I will do it. John 14:14. So if you receive the revelation of poverty, you will have it because the spirit of man is the candle of God Prov. 20:27. And a good man produces good things from the treasury of a good heart and vise versa. See, the bible is not for people with dogmatic tendencies and parochial thoughts. The bible is a well of revelation. If you open up your spirit and ask God to fill it, He will. But if your spirit is filled with junks already before you ask God to fill it, where will he fill. Stop all of these heartfelt bitterness against your fellow brethren. It will only lead to more of what you possess. If the Lord has led you to another ministry with another sets of assignment, pls go in peace and pray for those whose ministry assignments are not same as yours. But stop judging them and feeling like you are the only authentic minister of the gospel. Our Lord is omni-everything-good. Cant be boxed into one ministerial corner. If yours is deliverance, stay there. If another is faith let them serve God with the sincerity of heart without people like you pouncing on them in judgement to tear them to shreds. Why unleash terror within while we are still grappling with what to do with the terror without. Christ loved us and gave himself for US and not just you, so walk circumspectly and in love.
